Disable Autorun in Windows XP

I have a couple of Windows XP machines that can't be upgraded, and not connected to the network. I know there is a way to disable Autorun in it, but can't seem to find an easy solution. I've tried the directions here (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967715) but that didn't work.
Windows XP 32bit Enterprise Edition.
Anyone have the same problem?
